Fly a bird through the sky by tapping your screen and watch out for that piping

Pros

  • Fun & Addictively Challenging
  • World-Wide Sensational Game

Cons

  • It's painful to watch Flappy Bird die repeatedly

Flappy Bird is an addictive game for mobile in which your only mission is to fly a bird through the sky safely without harm.

Seems simple doesn't it? Tapping the screen to fly a bird through the air? Well not when you actually get going it isn't. You see, players are somewhat dumbfounded when they actually try to fly Flappy Bird because of what starts to appear out of nowhere when they begin flying. In this respect, the game becomes much like a platformer as pipes of varying height drop from the top of the game-screen with only a fraction of a gap in them for Flappy Bird to fly through.

Although simple in theory, the game received a considerable backlash on social-media with gamers uploading videos of themselves trying to beat out the high-flying concept, and competing to hit the highest scores. This of course caught the rest of the world's attention which lead to Flappy Bird's creator Vietnamese Dong Nguyen declaring on Twitter that he would take the game from market earlier this year after claims he copied Nintendo:

I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore.

What we then saw were countless carbon-copies of the creation such as Ironpants and Clumsy Bird, and this made it somewhat impossible to control despite Nguyen's efforts to take back what he enlightened the world of mobile-gaming with.

Lucky for us all, we still have the game and you should definitely download it and get playing what was, is and will be forever a flying sensation!
