PhotoFiltre is an interesting program to edit images that presents itself as an alternative to the popular Adobe Photoshop. As such, this application has various tools to retouch and modify photographs.

This image editor has a layer system similar to the one included in Photoshop, thus making it possible to work on projects that are visually very rich. In fact, the way they have been implemented makes it very easy to manage their order and their interactions.

The program also includes a considerable number of filters to give a professional touch to any image. These include standard controls for adjusting all sorts of parameters (brightness, saturation, contrast, etc.), as well as a number of artistic filters to completely change your photographies.

PhotoFiltre also includes utilities to create animated GIFs and to generate icons in different sizes. Although the number of options and effects and the power of this application don’t match the capabilities of Photoshop, this software is an interesting (and less expensive) alternative to the giant from Adobe.
