Daemon Tools Lite is a CD and DVD program that lets you virtualize an optical drive to test the operation of images before recording them.
The objective of doing this task is that you can try out the disc’s operation, and check whether it has problems related with anticopy protection or, in the case of DVD movies, region codes.
Daemon Tools Lite is compatible with a large number of disc image formats: ISO, MDS, MDX, CDI and BIN, among others. It also allows generating up to four virtual drives simultaneously.
Its interface is clear and simple; therefore, any user can understand how it works. It should be noted that the computer behaves exactly as it would with a real disc.
Pros:
• Supports up to 4 virtual drives
• Easy to use
• Compatible with a large number of formats
Cons
• Some important limitations when mounting the disc
