Create ISO files and manipulate images in this format—it’s possible with UltralSO, an intriguing program with which you can manage ISO files and do what you want with them; save space on your hard drive, create backup copies of your files, or send data within hardware.
UltraISO: create and edit ISO images with ease
We’re going to be honest here, we don’t spend massive amounts of times manipulating ISO images, but you do need a decent tool for when you need to do it, and UltraISO is one of the best. The main aim of the program is to create and edit CD and DVD images. This means that you can take a CD-ROM, create a virtual copy of it, or compile data in a virtual ISO image to then burn it, or even edit the content of a virtual image.
Let’s say, for example, that you want to change the name of a file or directory. Now you don’t need to go back and compile the whole ISO image; simply change it and that’s it, as if it were Windows Explorer. The good thing about UltraISO is that is also has a recording engine to burn the discs directly, and even the option to load virtual images in seconds. Although it’s not as complete a program as Nero or Daemon-Tools, you can do similar things.
Simple commands and on-screen instructions
The straightforward interface of UltraISO is the main advantage of the program. It has two panels, one above and one below. Both allow simultaneous exploring of an ISO structure, whilst it’s also possible to explore a location to find the files you want to copy to the ISO image. In this way, with a few simple steps, you can drag and drop, click or even use the contextual menu. UltraISO couldn’t be any easier.
UltraISO is compatible with various formats, and as a result you can convert between them. UltraISO supports ISO, but also NRG, MDS, BIN, IMG, and more. It’s therefore possible to take an NRG images and then convert it, for example, to a format like DMG (because it’s more compatible with a Mac).
Download UltraISO, and the ISO files won’t be able to hide any more secrets from you!
