Indic IME is an add-on application for Firefox developed by Surekha Sastry and Srinivasa Raghavan. It is an application that facilitates typing in Indian languages in web pages. It is a response for the need to type in Indian Languages in web forms, emails, and more. It supports different Indian Language scripts such as Devanagari (Hindi, Sanskrit, Marathi), Bengali, Gurumukhi (Punjabi), Gujarathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Tamil and Telugu. Indic IME is available for those who are using Windows XP through the language packs or on Trial and User basis. It is installed in both Navigator window and Composer window for Mozilla and Netscape browsers and on the Navigator window for Mozilla Firefox.
