Virtual DJ Studio

Learn to become a pro-DJ with Virtual DJ Studio

Virtual DJ Studio is a great tool you can use in order to get a feel at professional DJ-mixing.

What I like about this application is that it is geared towards teaching you the tricks to procreating hit mixes. On first run there is a tutorial to get you used to using the editing tools. The program also has many built-in support to assist you while you produce music.

Virtual DJ Studio is fully featured for both real-time mixing and karaoke supports. It is a great tool for beginners. It is a slimmed down version of other software such as Traktor or Deckadance 2. First-time DJs can simply import playlists into VDJ, select ‘auto-crossfade’ and let the studio mix up tracks.

The application lets you work with six songs simultaneously. You can adjust the volume of different tracks, as well as add effects, and trim files. The board upon which DJs mix has many important options to allow DJs to cross-fade, and change things like the pitch and tempo in some song. The application reads many audio formats including MP3 and WAV. What is great to know is that VDJ supports many plugins like the compressor and low-pass filter.

Like any other DJ-mixing program, VDJ looks awfully complex to use. However, when you start working with it, most users recognize that it is one of the better applications to use while learning to become a DJ. While others are designed for pro-DJs, this one is especially relevant to beginners.

I would recommend Virtual DJ Studio to any DJ, but particularly those starting out.

• Intuitive interface, lots of controls
• Aimed at helping you become adept in DJ performance

• Cannot save mixes without purchasing the complete software
