The famous messaging service on your Mac
- Sync with chats, groups, and contacts on your phone
- Use your Mac camera
- Desktop notification system
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Compatible with OS X 10.9
- Still requires your mobile device to be connected to the Internet
The creators of WhatsApp have finally developed a version for Mac computers.
Sync with your mobile
You must first install the app, then pair it with your mobile phone. To do this, the program prompts you to scan a QR code with your phone to complete the synchronization. Once scanned, you all your chats and groups will appear like magic.
In addition, any message you send or receive in the Whatsapp app for Mac will appear on mobile, and vice-versa.
More options than the web version
This version has the same interface and appearance as the web version, but with extra options, like being able to use the Mac camera to take and send photos and videos. In addition, you can use keyboard shortcuts, and set desktop notifications to tell you when you receive a message.
It also lets you access images and videos you have stored in each of your chats, and send documents.
Stay connected to your phone
WhatsApp for Mac is essential if you regularly communicate via WhatsApp. Just bear in mind you need to stay constantly connected to your phone for it to work: that is, if your phone is not connected to the Internet, the program will not work, and you won’t receive any messages. And make sure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi so you don’t consume your entire data plan.
